Software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications, such as Salesforce.com, Google Apps, and Workday

  • Administer Salesforce.com, including management, changes, and audits of installed packages, page layouts, profile and role security, and data export and backup
  • Identify, develop, and implement plans for preserving Salesforce.com data and metadata integrity
  • Work with users to develop Salesforce.com reports and dashboards
  • Administer Google Apps, including provisioning of email addresses and nicknames, Google Groups maintenance, and domain-level settings
  • Administer Okta, including user provisioning and deprovisioning, app assignment, and issue troubleshooting 
  • Maintain IT asset tracking system, ensuring accurate recordkeeping for all issued and collected IT assets, as well as spares
  • Order IT equipment for new and existing employees 
  • Serve as primary liaison with key IT equipment and service providers such as Dell, Verizon Wireless, Amazon, Apple, Salesforce.com, Google, and Workday, overseeing order management and negotiating bulk purchase deals
  • Add or remove employee access to systems upon hiring/termination 
  • Research and resolve incoming help desk requests for routine employee assistance
  • Manage help desk queue, ensuring all incoming tickets are assigned promptly
  • Manage facility-specific wireless network and telephone systems
  • Implement user stories from employees for improvements or enhancements to existing systems, sometimes requiring custom coding or configurations
  • Manage internal or third-party developers who are building customizations for Appirio IT use
  • Participate in various ad-hoc IT projects, such as investigation of new systems or vendors; adoption of a new corporate system including rollout plans, development of new employee processes, and integration into existing systems; or analysis of usage patterns for existing applications to find optimizations
  • Respond to RFP questions from prospects about Appirio’s IT security policies and processes
The Information Technology (IT) Specialist in our Cloud Based Environment will be generally responsible for executing day-to-day operations and maintenance related to Appirio's internal use of IT, including the following areas: 

Education and Required Experience (Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from a four-year college or university with 2-3 years related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Experience developing and maintaining software applications is a plus. Specific industry experience with software-as-a-service, specifically Salesforce.com and Google Apps, is also a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intense desire to learn about and participate in the revolution of cloud computing
  • Outstanding, over-the-top, truly sensational commitment to insanely good customer service
