·    Microsoft Cloud Practice Director will be responsible for growth and innovation throughout existing and net-new accounts, including:

·         Interfacing with both vertical/account sales teams and account delivery teams in high potential accounts to identify, validate and grow cloud opportunities and drive adoption / consumption of Azure platform.

·         Proven ability with building deep technical relationships alongside senior executives and driving cloud consumption growth in strategic large accounts

·         Driving the deployment of customer workloads into Azure and increasing consumption of the platform by providing deployment guidance and best practices,

·         Support key initiatives, including Cloud Migration, Digital Transformation, Big Data Application Landscapes, and/or Azure Enhancement / Upgrades.

·         Stay in tune with competitive insights and market trends. 


Our successful candidate will include those with the following background:      Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends; experience with Microsoft Azure is a MUST

·         Develop a vision for large scale solution portfolios in the cloud, and define how to accomplish the vision and meet business needs and objectives.

·         5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, extensibility, security, etc.)

·         2+ years of experience in net-new (cloud native) or migration of on-premises solution to the cloud

·         Should be able to participate in deep architectural discussions with customers to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.

·         Working knowledge with DevOps, Agile Development methodologies and with one or more of the following programming languages: .NET / C#, Java, Python, Go/Erlang, C++

·         Technically adept in multiple areas, including: Powershell, JSON, ARM Templates, API development, Javascript (angular, backbase, etc.), T-SQL.  Additional experience in one or more of PHP, Perl, Python, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive, FetchXML,    XSLT, etc. will be considered. 

·         Design and development experience of cloud computing with Microsoft Azure Compute & Storage Services, SQL Azure, Service Bus/EventHubs, Azure AD,  Azure Media Services, Azure App Service Environments (Web, Mobile, Logic, API Apps) and large scale migrations of application landscapes onto Microsoft Azure.

·         Designing application architectures optimized for technical, security, and business needs for the selected apps/workloads and executing POCs

·         Presentation and/or speaking skills, including industry events, and is a thought leader in realm of Azure Cloud and/or DevOps. Should be able to evangelize Microsoft Azure services, deployment and operations stories through presentations and the creation of content such as reference architectures, white papers, blog posts, etc.
