Key roles and responsibilities:
  • Account manager for a large global account in Telecom vertical. The positions is based out of Sweden. Some of the expected activities of the incumbent are listed below.
  • Identify opportunities of growth in the accounts and lead accounts strategy and planning
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with decision makers and influencers in the customer organization and drive penetration in various functions including outside CIO
  • Leverage Wipro’s unique value proposition to shape opportunities for the customer and increase share of revenues from single source deals. Lead proposal development, negotiation and commercial terms for large deals
  • Regularly monitor sales trends, market dynamics and incorporate into existing accounts strategy and plan
  • Also drive collections. Increasing the market share in the account and also share of wallet of the accounts with the customer.
  • Support the solutions teams with customer perspectives and competitive intelligence to develop new vertical and horizontal solutions.
  • Showcase Wipro’s solutions as a strategic fit for the customer organization through workshops, boot camps and strategy meets.
  • Push for higher value/value added services and solutions to the customer in line with Wipro’s offerings.
  • Capture and create integrated opportunities with end-to-end solution delivery requirements.
  • Exemplify Wipro leadership in conferences, meets and seminars, by presenting thought leadership and connecting with key customers.
Desired skills and experience:
  • Very strong sales background in a clear quota role with consistent performance.
  • Exposure to Telecom sales is required
  • Good understanding of SI sales life cycle and have handled a revenue of at least USD 5-7 million per annum minimum in last 2 years.
  • Strong understanding of the vertical domain understanding and appreciation of industry’s business and application and infrastructure landscape.
  • Familiarity with ITO & BPO concepts and deal structuring a big plus.
  • Track record of selling at C levels is very essential and tenacity and perseverance to hunt in a new account is a must.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a farming environment in large accounts i.e., experience of client interface, mining new opportunities and growing relationships
  • Experience of working in multicultural, cross functional teams leveraging Global delivery models in IT services will be a plus
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
