About Porto Salesforce Center

Appirio Salesforce Center in Porto will be focusing on three areas: 

i) a Commerce Cloud Digital CoE (specialising  in the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform, enabling  our clients to become leaders in the eCommerce space) 

ii) a Salesforce Delivery Center (covering Europe-wide project demand)

iii) an Innovation Hub (to create pre-built accelerators and assets enabling our Customers to  leverage their cloud investment faster with general business and industry-specific solutions)

Brief Summary of Role

The Commerce Solution Strategist will be able to operate as a subject matter expert on implementing, using and optimizing the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform, in addition to understanding digital commerce and omni-channel best practices. They will assist the Porto Commerce Lead in developing Practice Offerings and Customer relationships. They will provide pre-sales functional and technical support for the sales and account teams.

This person will play a strategic role by utilising their more technically oriented skill sets to service and support existing clients, and to drive ongoing innovation while supporting client facing teams. 

As a member of the Appirio European Nearshore Centre in Porto, you will be required to support assignments across the European region.

Responsibilities

The Solution Strategist will lead workshops and requirement gathering sessions to better understand the customer's current e-commerce processes and technology stack. They will then use that knowledge to help roadmap and define the future state. They will provide guidance and best-practices around global e-commerce and the overall architecture and implementation of sites on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform, common 3rd party E-commerce integrations, and other related cloud based technologies. 

The ideal candidate must have extensive global e-commerce knowledge and SFCC platform experience, including how to interpret customer business needs and the translation of those needs into technical, functional, and operational requirements.

They will be an enthusiastic, professional and confident, a team player, with a strong focus on customer success, who can present effectively even under adverse conditions.

Strong project management, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

The Solution Strategist will work both onsite and remotely as needed, with prospects and customers, to elicit and analyze their requirements, author functional and technical documentation, and implement the specified technology platforms. 

Specific areas of concentration include:

  • Communicate solution messaging to business and technical personas

  • Translate business objectives and requirements into solutions and level-of-effort estimates

  • Present standard Commerce Cloud demos to prospects

  • Drive “best practice” adoption of the Commerce Cloud platform throughout the entire client lifecycle

  • Lead discovery workshops, which includes the facilitation of large audiences, solution presentations, and prototype demonstrations.

  • Responsible for identification and inventory of customer process pain points and gaps in best practices.

  • Assist clients in the design, definition, and deployment of their website(s)

  • Act as a subject matter expert in end-to-end solution functionality, design and operation

  • Remain current in the e-commerce industry and technology trends

  • Organize communications between teams and external vendors to develop solutions

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud solution, Demandware and CloudCraze


Education and Required Experience

  • B.S. degree in a technical field preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Informatics, Industrial Management, etc) or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • An advanced degree in the area of specialization or equivalent professional work experience is preferred.

  • 4+ years experience as a solution focused consultant, business analyst or systems consultant for a mid-to-large sized organization, or direct consulting expertise leading sales and marketing transformation projects.

  • 3+ years experience with software in enterprise environments.

  • 3+ years of experience in Retail with focus on Commerce solution and integrations

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Project Management experience is a plus

  • Languages include English, other European languages are a plus

  • Located in Porto

  • Willing to travel as required
