PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

In the capacity of an DevOps Transformation Lead, is responsible for taking up lead roles in executing key engagements of rolling out Enterprise DevOps projects/programs/organizations and train, mentor and coach teams. They need to build plans and help in implementing key engineering practices at team and organization level. The consultant is also responsible for creating approach notes, responses to RFPs, making presentations to clients, and helping with business development while working at client sites. Along with client work, this is a weekly requirement.

Qualifications:

Must Have: 12-15 years relevant targeted experience in DevOps. 
Experience with Continuous Integration tools, like Jenkins or Bamboo.
Release Management Processes, Coordination and Planning Process and connecting points with DevOps and CI/CD 
Skills related to containerized environments and technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.
Experience with public Cloud providers: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry etc.
Knowledge and/or experience with agile engineering techniques and patterns: TDD, ATDD Continuous Testing, Pair Programming, Automated Testing, etc.
An understanding of modern LEAN software engineering approaches
Experience with various test automation frameworks
Experience with version control systems such as Subversion and Git
Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
Experience with Maven, Bamboo, Udeploy, Bitbucket, Artifactory, TOSCA, Selenium, UFT, HP Perf Centre, Cucumber, LISA, Zabbix, SCOM, HPOV, Python, R., PowerShell, NoSQL (REDIS, Couchbase, Dynamo, Cassandra)
Ensure that all non-functional requirements (performance, security, privacy) have automated test coverage in all environments from development to production.
Implement A/B testing of user stories as a rapid validation mechanism. 
Ensure a feedback mechanism (measurement of value proposition) is available for all deliverables. 
Conduct show cases to program and other business stake holders 
Programming/scripting skills. Hands on experience with one or more of JavaScript (Node.JS, Angular etc.), Java (Play, Spring),
Strong working knowledge of Linux
Agile Scrum/Kanban familiarity and experience working in an Agile environment

Nice to Have:

Overall, broad industry experience from 10 to 20 years with strong technical background.
Ability to coach and train other technical implementers in CI/CD and automation concepts and tools
Familiarity with industry Enterprise Agile frameworks such as SAFe, DAD, LeSS, etc.
Experience leading programs, projects, or teams; prefer experience in leading or helping to lead Agile/DevOps Transformations 
Experience with distributed as well as collocated teams.
Strong facilitation and listening skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience on similar position with consulting firm will be an advantage.

Operations:

Looking for someone who cares about the success of the practice as well as the client – participate in business development activities, growing accounts, helping create new offerings, supporting propels and responses, supporting team members
Lead DevOps consulting engagements at client locations and deliver solutions as per the client expectations including Coaching, Training, Assessment, Tools and Engineering practices review/support, and other activities as necessary.
Keep yourself client billed for 60-80% of the time on consulting engagements by working to extend engagements, help find new engagements, and support other engagements.
Manage delivery excellence through peer-review and working with the client’s leadership.
Work with practice leadership to create and deliver proposals for other clients as needed. Must be able to work with multiple levels of the organization and able to present publically.

Establish credibility and a strong presence in the region.
Establish expectations and model behaviors that demonstrate service excellence to staff and focuses on both Wipro internal and external clients.
Build industry thought leadership by publishing papers in international forums, pursuing public speaking opportunities in the region and collaboration with industry leaders.
Location / Travel:

Ability to travel/commute to client locations. Also, willingness to travel weekly across country. Occasional international travel may be happen as needed.
