This role involves leading the strategy and Business operations function for the 2 SBUS Manufacturing and Communications. The role involves shaping the future direction of these 2 SBUs and keeping a close track on how we are doing against our stated future vision. Role will require the incumbent to work with the leadership of the 2 SBUs to enable operationalization of Strategic Initiatives. 

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to shape the strategy of the business units. 
  • Enable operationalization of Strategic Initiatives derived from the Ops Strategy and plan. 
  • Basis market trends, identify capabilities which need to be built within the BU, and evaluate & enable M&A opportunities 
  • Detailed market analysis for identifying domain and technologies/trends and working with stakeholders on the investments in the strategic areas.
  • Drive organization view/thinking in areas that impact the industry and services
  • Engage with external ecosystem groups such as start-up ecosystem, analysts, advisors and expert bodies to bring in an outside in view to Wipro strategy and business and with a goal of improving BU’s position in Analyst reports
  • Lead the annual Go-to-Market planning process
  • Enable and support development of Comms and MFG Strategy and enabling operational deliverables such as reviews etc., with executive stakeholders
  • Drive go to market processes adoption in the unit, Drive usage of tools, templates, methodologies, Track progress in key deals, and Track assurance of account plans in key identified accounts, bring in control measures through right metrics.
  • Operations Metrics – Making sure integrity of data from sales/ delivery processes, Own all unit level operations report, Communicate and drive actions across applicable stakeholders.
  • Candidate with a BE/B-Tech and MBA (top tier business school).
  • Consistently rated as a high performer in previous roles at Wipro.
  • Overall 12+ years of experience in IT Services. Background in sales/delivery in Consulting is preferred.

  • Ability to understand and apply technology to solve business problems, Ability to read, interpret and analyze business metrics
  • Ability to contribute strategically in executive environment and strong operational acumen to translate into deliverables in virtual environment with strong influencing skills
  • Strong operational experience across diversity of business roles and an eye for details
  • A change agent that can build support through clear communication of the business objectives
  • Highly motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and sense of urgency. Balances the need to be collaborative and team oriented with the ability to influence and push back when challenged
  • Should have ability to sift through information/data, assimilate, analyze and build a point of view.
  • Polished oral, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to confidently build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding in Technology with exposure to technology products/services and product management will be preferred.
  • OSS knowledge and Telecom Domain experience is preferred
