Role Summary
Practice Partner leads solution development, delivery and P&L responsibility for the identified area, and enhances capability of the practice through leveraging appropriate thought leadership & competency development initiatives. S/he leads the group of consultants and analysts from a utilization & capability building perspective. S/he actively supports business development & solutioning initiatives for existing or new customers in collaboration with the Consulting Partner team & the Pre-Sales groups.

Principal Responsibilities
  •  Holds the overall P&L responsibility for the domain practice ( single or multiple), which functions like a horizontal, and work with the various verticals & accounts at Wipro (In case heading the practice) 
  •  Develops roadmap for industry segment/competency; Competitive Service offerings, domain embedded solutions 
  •  Builds active partnerships with solution providers and alliance partners 
  •  Offers in-depth domain expertise in account engagements 
  •  Builds thought leaders who can develop & deliver solutions that can be taken to market 
  •  Presents POV ; white papers etc. at strategic industry and analyst conferences 
  •  Provides the presales support required for new and existing opportunities & increase the domain footprint 
  •  Ensures projects are adequately staffed and deliver high quality of work 
  •  Ensures overall utilization targets for the practice are met, and premium billing rates realized for the domain experts. 
  •  Assists and encourages individuals in achieving professional fulfillment. 
  •  Works to develop and improve practice policies, procedures, frameworks etc. 
  •  Conducts recruiting activities and interviews for consultants and participates in experienced hire recruiting activities to further strengthen domain competencies 
Knowledge
  • Must Have Subject Matter Expert in the area of specialization ( commands authority on the subject) 
  • Understanding of inter- and intra-enterprise business models, market structures, exchange models, and supporting applications 
  • Cross Discipline Understanding, monitors industry trends and externalities. 
  • Deep understanding of the market and external environment (STEPLE* - Social, Technological, Economical, Political, Legal & Environmental contexts) 
Preferred
  • Project, Program Management & Selling Capabilities 
  • Visualize solutions that transcend Practice and organizational boundaries
Experience
Must Have
  • 12-15 years or more of industry or management consulting experience involving industry solutions, strategy, planning, and systems design 
  • Proven ability in building teams from scratch, resource planning, staff planning and technical planning in support of all domain related activities. 
  • Leading Teams of BA; Consultants 
  • Experience across at least 2 of Analysis and Advisory Services, Defining & Implementing Deploy Recommendations, managing ADM and Operation based projects 
  • Experience of managing P&L / Financial targets of significant revenue size, scale and complexity 
  • Authored/Co-Authored at least 5 publications / Whitepapers in the area of specialization and is a sought after industry consultant 
Preferred
  • Proven experience in developing and managing client relationships 
  • Presented in Industry Domain Forums ; has IP to his/her credit
