Core responsibilities will include:
  • Growth: Defining a sound business growth strategy built on overall & domain consulting strengths (domain, digital, analytics, strategy). Focus on growing the consulting business contribution to 10% of Banking BU strength with higher billing rates and margins. Help in creating new business opportunities & New business wins (revenue and Order Value)
  • Practice Management: Manage a diverse team of geographically distributed domain consulting professionals across different experience levels, including their goals & objectives, mentoring, career planning etc. apart from project level billing, utilizations and allocations
  • Solutions: Identifying & Defining differentiated services and solutions for various process areas within insurance industry apart from working with Wipro’s CTO office to co-create and take next generation innovations to market.
  • Competency: Defining & supporting a strong competency/capability-building strategy. Own and manage Banking Academy (multiple practices within the domain) as the one-stop enabling environment for aspiring internal and lateral consultants
  • Partnerships: Nurture key ecosystem partnerships in key focus areas based on product evaluation/due diligence with the objective of building knowledge and networks e.g. Trade bodies, practitioner forums, industry networks etc. Explore & develop Wipro specific layer/extensions to the core partner offering.
  • Branding: Creating a strong Wipro Market Positioning - increasing Wipro’s mindshare in the banking industry ecosystem (product companies, analysts and influencers)

Qualifications Required
  • Relevant experience working as an SME in the domain within in a consulting organization that would position you in a leadership position 
  • Functional expertise in at least two banking vertical-specific core and related processes like payments, core banking, cards, digital banking, channels, retail banking, commercial banking, global transaction services etc.
  • Ideally you will have exposure to tier-1 banking industry products specifically for any of the industry sub-verticals within banking group.
  • Experience or strong exposure to software lifecycles including defining downstream from a consulting engagement
  • Ownership in Solution incubation and IP-creation
  • A good mix of experience working in operations and enterprise processes of a bank/FS company
  • Good knowledge of the international market and demand including multiple engagements across geographies
  • Experience in consultative selling and creating client business case for value-based pitches
  • Significant transformation proposition definition and engagement shaping using core and disruptive technologies to solve business problems to clear business benefits
  • Insurance industry insights, thought leadership and eminence in the banking domain
  • Proven track record in growing as well as sustaining and growing client account revenues through existing and new consulting engagements
  • Deep understanding of innovative customer models, products, services and business re-platforming strategies
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, relationship building and networking skills on the client side, Wipro partners and internal organisation 
  • Creative and motivating consulting leader that can gel diverse teams to common outcomes
  • Entrepreneurial drive with a can-do attitude and pragmatic approach, together with a strong desire to learn and shape your own career path
